Conferences and expositions:
ASM and its Affiliate Societies sponsor or co-sponsor
many leading events. including the ASM Materials Solutions
Conference & Exposition, the ASM Heat
Treating Conference & Exposition, the United
Thermal Spray Conference (UTSC), the Advanced
Aerospace Materials / Processes Conference & Exposition (AeroMat),
and the International Symposium of Testing and Failure
Analysis (lSTFA).
Members wishing to improve their technical skills and knowledge,
and managers who want to bring training to their staff, benefit
from the many education programs offered by the ASM Materials Engineering
Institute (MEI). Formats include homestudy, seminars, video, in-plant,
and custom programs.
How to apply for Student Membership:-
Qualifications:
An individual whose' primary occupation is that of student (undergraduate
or graduate) who wishes to be a member of ASM. High School students
are eligible for membership. however all membership benefits may
not apply.
Membership Year:
The membership year runs for twelve months following submission
of an application and payment of $ 15 as membership fee. Students
will receive a renewal notice and billing prior to the end of the
year of membership. The student membership dues are the same price
throughout the year. After a student first joins ASM, he/she will
receive a membership card and welcome packet in the mail. In subsequent
years, the membership card will be attached to the renewal form
and will become active upon payment of dues.
